Reflecting on 2026 and Planning Ahead for the 2027 Good Friday Pilgrimage at Santuario de Chimayó

As we look back on Good Friday 2026, we are filled with gratitude for the thousands of pilgrims who joined us at Santuario de Chimayó. Each individual came in a spirit of prayer, reflection, and community, contributing to a profoundly moving experience. As we anticipate the Lenten season of 2027, we warmly invite you to be part of next year's Good Friday Pilgrimage.

 

Santuario de Chimayó, a site deeply revered by diverse cultures and faith traditions, continues to be a beacon for those seeking spiritual depth. Between Truchas and El Santuario de Chimayo:

Distance (one way): 9.3 miles.

Total Elevation Gain: About 1982’ from Truchas (8051’) to Santuario de Chimayo (6075).
Difficulty: Moderate

Between Nambe and El Santuario de Chimayo:

Distance (one way): 8.2 miles.

Total Elevation Gain: About 80’ from Nambe (5994’) to Chimayo (6075’).
Difficulty: Moderate

Between San Antonio de Cordova and El Santuario de Chimayo:
Distance (one way): 5.4 miles.
